A Week in July - The 52
The second painting in the trilogy is dedicated the families and friends of those killed in the July bombings.
It is a powerful, yet gentle, statement of love and loss for all those involved:
the underground staff, the bus driver and the emergency services;
quiet heroes who rolled up their sleeves and did what they had to do.
We sometimes take for granted how much we care and how much we are loved until we face losing those close to us.
The painting ‘The 52’ is intended to reflect on those taken from us.
