A Week in July (Trilogy)
The three paintings in the trilogy tackle the extremes of emotion we all felt;
from the high of being awarded the Olympic Games,
through the sorrow of the atrocious bombings
to the day of solidarity as the people of
London
took to the streets.
A Week in July - The 5
I remember how proud I was of our city and its colourful people.
2012 was going to be our Olympic games;
an international celebration in a city with open arms.
I tried to capture these feelings in the first painting of the trilogy.
It is dedicated to the people who make
London
the multicultural world city that we love;
a city made stronger by our diversity.
