Bray has a strong professional work ethic and a pragmatic and adaptable approach
to all his commissions, born out of his early career as an engineer in the aircraft industry.
He works within firm timescales to meet targets and deliver project objectives.
He is also able to develop a brief for other artists' commissions that ties in with
the overall architectural concept and ensures the integrity and continuity
of the total project.
Bray is unusual in that he can work in the monumental, tying sculpture and building together. He is concerned that art and architecture should work as a whole,
producing a result that is greater than the sum of their parts, in exactly the same way that Renaissance building and sculpture work together
- let us recall that Michelangelo Buonarroti was a sculptor, painter, poet, writer
and a highly acclaimed architect.
John Anthony Bray is currently working on architectural commissions in
London,
Beijing, Shanghai
and the Isle of Man.
